Description
Parker’s SciLog® NFF System is an intelligent, automated single-use normal flow filtration (NFF) solution designed to improve process efficiency from discovery through production scale. Featuring patented R/P Stat control, this system enables walk-away automation, optimizing filter throughput and extending filter life. Its open-architecture design works with any commercially available filter, giving users full flexibility. A user-friendly touch-screen interface allows for real-time monitoring and control, while configurable alarms, interlocks, and optional integrated scales ensure precise, gravimetric filtration endpoints. Compact and mobile, the SciLog® NFF also integrates seamlessly with plant systems for streamlined data collection and process control, making it a smart solution for GMP-compliant bioprocessing operations.
The automated SciLog® NFF System offers four modes of process control:
- Constant Rate – Maintains a constant flow rate while monitoring pressure to ensure it does not exceed a high-limit set point.
- Constant Pressure – Maintains constant pressure while monitoring flow rate, ensuring the rate does not fall below a defined minimum.
- R/P Stat Method – Maintains a constant rate until a set pressure is reached, then automatically switches to constant pressure while monitoring flow rate.
- Manual Operation – Allows users to define a motor set point for full manual control.
To ensure repeatability and ease of use, the system also allows users to store and recall recipes at the time of execution, saving time and reducing the risk of parameter entry errors.
